Reservation Conditions
- The passenger can make reservations for up to six months in advance.
- The reservation must be reconfirmed 72 hours prior to the trip or 12 hours for those who made the reservation less than 72 hours before the trip date.
- The passenger can modify the reserved trip time at least one hour before the scheduled departure time.
Ticketing Conditions
- Passengers must show their ID cards to verify their ages.
- Children under ten years of age and senile persons are not allowed to travel unaccompanied.
- Passengers are entitled for a full refund if SRO cancels the trip.
- Any scraping, modification, or tampering found in the ticket will cause it to be void.
- SRO will not be held responsible for compensating passengers for late arrivals caused by reasons beyond its control.
- The ticket can only be used by the ticket bearer whose name is shown on it.
- Discounted Al-Qafilah (Second Class) Tickets can be issued to
only Saudi students provided that bringing a Discount Letter or school/university ID cards issued by the Ministry of Education or the Ministry of Higher Education.
- Discounted tickets can be issued for special needs persons and their accompanying persons on the Second Class only, provided they bring a disabled ID card or a copy thereof.
- Tickets can be returned or modified at least one hour before the trip scheduled departure time, and a 10% deduction will be applied.
- 5?Tickets can be returned or modified within less than an hour of the scheduled departure time, or within 24 hours after the departure of the trip, however, a deduction of 50% of the ticket price will be applied.
- Seating Class and/or trip route can be modified once at any time without the passenger incurring any expenses other than the price difference between the Classes.
Accompanying Luggage Conditions
- Passenger’s luggage is collected only at the departure station and sent to the destination station specified in the passenger’s ticket. A luggage tag is prepared in two copies, one given to the passenger and the other is attached to the luggage for verification upon arrival at the destination station.
- It is forbidden to carry or ship liquids, flammable materials, commercial goods, meats, birds, or animals in passenger trains. Weapons are not allowed to be carried.
- Al-Rehab class passengers are allowed 40kg of personal effects per full ticket, and 20kg per half ticket. Beyond that, the Excess Baggage system is applied.
- Al-Taleaa Class passengers are allowed 30kg of personal effects per full ticket, and 15kg per half ticket. Beyond that, the Excess Baggage system is applied.
- Al-Qafilah Class passengers are allowed 20kg of personal effects per full ticket, and 10kg per half ticket. Beyond that, the Excess Baggage system is applied.
- Excess baggage shall be charged at SR 1.00 per Kilo for up to 10kg, SR 2.00 per Kilo for up to 20kg, and so on.
- SRO is not responsible for cash, jewelry, and valuable items placed inside the luggage transported in the luggage cars.
